A lot of my family live in Muskoka and I live in Toronto and my aunt just launched her website two m0nths ago and has not really found that the website has helped with traffic and clients which makes her very disappointed. Now I know a lot about SEO, but I only know about Toronto SEO and I have no clue if there is any Muskoka SEO or at least somewhere close by. I think using an SEO strategy for her site would work. Just curious if anyone knows of any SEO businesses around the Muskoka area.

Lenzr Evolves Into Something Better

For some time now Lenzr has been doing some changes to the website and are proud to introduce a new voting system in September. Instead of being able to vote when the contest starts, members will only be allowed to vote on the 20th day of the contest being live. Although members have to wait to vote on other pictures, contestants are still able to submit their works for viewing. The Lenzr Admin will set a date for when the voting should begin which will most likely be 10 days before the end of the contest.

Probably a really stupid question, but I am eager to find out if a ventrilo server will work anywhere around the world…like Muskoka? My dad says he will be moving up to the cottage in Muskoka and that he will be getting internet some we can chat online, but why not just use a server where I can hear is voice?

3rd Annual Mactier Big Weekend Festival

Muskoka Business…

My aunt has some sort of business that is located in Bracebridge, Muskoka, Ontario and most summer’s get pretty loaded with work, but lately she just wants to have a summer where she can relax and enjoy the beach while not worrying about her job. I told her my situation here in Toronto and how I used a Toronto leadership coach and it worked great. She said well how could it work when I am in Muskoka? Luckily you can have a phone or computer conversation or they can come to you. She is in her third week of coaching and has come to realize she has a lot more time for the outdoors and she can spend some time with friends too.

ABOUT PETER

Peter Swanek has a passion for music and is a promoter for over 200 concert dates since 2000 – Peter’s Players has provided entertainment to over 20 different venues. Peter says when he grew up music had always been a huge part in his life and eventually he got married and had four kids and currently is trying to focus on music once again he said. A lot of people in the audience seem to relate to him because they were the things they did when they were a lot younger like Peter. At times Peter goes to the bands that will be performing or even sometimes the bands will go to him. For the past 7 years Peter has promoted and hosted jazz and blues concerts in his own home in Innisfil, but now lives in Gravenhurst, Muskoka where the music follows him. Peter currently has possession of a permit for a 100 seat theatre – Peter opens up Peter’s Place Theatre in 2008 with musicians James Cotton and Johnny Winter.

Third Annual Muskoka In-Water Boat & Cottage Show

The Third Annual Muskoka In-Water Boat & Cottage Show presents one awesome festival weekend including the Muskoka Rib Fest at the Muskoka Wharf starting July 23th to July 25th. With free admission you can enjoy great food and entertainment, over 100 boat and cottage exhibits while relaxing with friends and family at the Muskoka Brewery Lounge. You can also enjoy LIVE entertainment from FM 93 and B101 with Alligator Boots, Muskoka Roads – Jeff and John Young, Seven Greene and Dockside.

The 2010 Show will be featuring an expanded floor with tons of in-water boats and more than 100 booths selling equipment, fishing gear, cottage accessories ect.

Muskoka’s Second Annual Amazing Race

The Muskoka Trails Council is hosting Muskoka’s Second Annual Amazing Race on Saturday, August 14, 2010 in Baysville, Muskoka. That day will be for people around the world to find new and interesting ways to appreciate Muskoka, a day to challenge yourself and also find new ways to have exciting new fun! This event will take racers across Muskoka while following important clues and completing difficult, but fun tasks – 50 teams out of 2, Competitive and Recreational will take on this interesting challenge to become the winner of Muskoka’s Second Annual Amazing Race. To become the winner you must make it as a team to all of the checkpoints without being eliminated and to arrive at the Closing Ceremony before all the other racer’s. The winner of the challenges will be rewarded with a prize at the end of the competition. Each team will be given a clue and are required to reach that point given to continue the race. The clue may be the team’s next destination or it could possibly be a riddle – you may have to take a bus, taxi or be on foot.

Check Points/Route Markers – Detour, Yield, Roadblock, Fast Forward.

Each team must have a minimum pledge of $200.00 to participate in the race.

They have over 25 sponsors for this race.

Disaster Inside The Cottage

Over the years my family and I have been working fairly hard to keep the place up to par by doing daily chores around the 100 acres of land. Things like raking the beach, cutting the lawn, taking down dead trees and clearing paths of sticks and stones were the main areas we tend to work on, but we never really go inside our actual cottage. Now we no we need to re-do the whole kitchen because the attic some day soon is going to cave in and we really need to do something about our flooring. But, this is not the most of my worries – from time to time we need to replace our business phones because they either fall to pieces or something gets poured into them by accident. Well, I insist that we take all the non-working phones to the dump, but my dad has a huge heart saying these phones were his mothers and he could not bare to get rid of them. Let me tell you these phones look disastrous and the chords are literally scrambled all over the cottage.

On Monday when I got back from the long weekend I was surfing through YouTube and found this video that reminds me exactly how horrible it really is.

Do any of you have these problems? How can I resolve this issue without throwing out these ‘oh so precious’ phones of my dads?

Muskoka Chefs

In 1980 The Muskoka & District Chefs Association was formed that is located north of Toronto , west of Owen Sound and east of Kingston, Ontario. They are considered a non-profit organization that is community minded and has a camaraderie outlook. The Chefs meet every second Monday of a Month at different locations throughout Muskoka. As of now the membership is nearly 150 people – Junior Members, Associate Members, Cooks, Chefs and Certified Chef de Cuisine members. The Muskoka & District Chefs Association is known for one of the largest and most active branches of the Canadian Culinary Federation. The Association often gets involved with community charity fundraisers every year which include; Hospice Barrie, Hospice Orillia and also the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

If you wish to be an applicant of the Muskoka & District Chefs Association you must hold a Certificate of Qualification for the Trade of Cook , a TQ5, a Certification from any Province, or an equivalent Certificate World Association of Chefs Societies.
